.Net apps on a Network Drive

Run time debugger error

  • If you try to run a report from a network drive you will get a 'Run time debugger error'
This is due to .Net Framework 1.1 security.
Read KB 832742 for the fix.
or
After loading the .Net Framework, go to <Start><settings><control panel><administrative tools><.Net Framework Wizards> 
             - Double click 'Adjust .Net Security'
             - Click 'Next'
             - Click on 'Local Intranet'
               - Move the slide bar to 'Full Trust'
             - Click 'Next' then click 'Finish'
