FRx 6.7 Installation Instructions

FRx - Clean install only

- Prior to installing this package make sure the following are 

                 installed on the computer:

- MDAC 2.8 Sp1 (already installed on XP Sp2 machines) - IE 6.0 sp1 (must say SP1 or higher under Help/About 

                         from within IE 6.0)

- Adobe reader 6.0 or higher

- Prior to installing make a backup of ?:\frx\sysdata directory - DO NOT skip this step. FRx installations are know for 

                         corrupting the registration database!

- Navigate to ?:\installcds\FRx67InstallCD\FRx67_Install.bat and 

                 double click

- Click <Install FRX> - Click <Next> - Click <Yes> - Click on the radio button marked 'Install FRx for PFW 

                         Standard'

- Click <Next> - Ensure 'Local Client' is checked - Click <Next> - Leave Destination folder as default - Click <Next> - Change 'Location of Sysdata folder' to: 

                         "?:\FRx\sysdata" (without the quotation marks)

- Click <Next> - Click <Next> - Click <Next> - Uncheck "Yes..." and click <Finish> - Click "Demoshield" in your windows tray - Click <Exit Installation>

Reboot (Madatory)

- The FRx service pack will not register many DLL's properly if 

                 you don't reboot.

- No errors on the install, just won't work!
