FRx Service Pack Installation Instructions

FRx service Pack
- Prior to installing make a backup of ?:\frx\sysdata directory - DO NOT skip this step. FRx installations are know for corrupting the registration database! - If you did this for the 'FRx - Clean install only' you do not need to repeat the step.
- Naviage to ?:\installcds\DOTNET1.1SP1\net11sp1.exe and double click - Click <OK> - Click - Click <OK>
- Navigate to ?:\servicepacks\FRX\FRX_SPUpdate.bat and double click - Click <Next> - Click the radio button next to "I accept...." - Click <Next> - Click <Next> - Click <Next> - Click <Next> - Click <Finish>
- Launch FRx report Designer
- <Start><Programs><FRx 6.7><Report Designer>
- Log in with a valid PFW user name and password
- Let FRx finish rebuilding the index.
- You should see "Your Company Name" in the yellow background
- Exit FRx
- Launch FRx <Start><Programs><FRx 6.7><Report Designer>
- Log in with a valid PFW user name and password
- Let FRx finish rebuilding the index.
- You should see "Your Company Name" in the yellow background
- If you don't then restore the ?:\frx\sysdata directory you backed up at the beginning
of this installation.
- Why? FRx destroys the registration database upon exiting! Thus we have
to enter/exit/enter to see the problem.
